What happens in this class?

This is a pottery taster class with an emphasis on throwing. We never run more than one class at a time, meaning that participants can be sure that they will have exclusive use of our lovely studio for the entirety of their class.

The teacher will demonstrate how to wedge your clay in preparation for throwing on the potters wheel. After centring your clay on the wheel, you will open and pull up the walls of your pot. In addition to throwing on the wheel, you will also be introduced to handbuilding techniques (slab building, pinching and coiling).
